When creating an ‘atmos’ it is often influenced by the 'real' weather conditions of the day, successful results require both experience and the right equipment whether it is creating rain in an April shower or creating a mist effect in a Moroccan stage when its 45 degrees outside!
Smoke effects can be broken down into many areas from haze through to pea-soupers. We use Look Solution machines from Germany and their consumables for interior or occasionally for exteriors with sensitive issues. For exteriors, we use Artem, Igeba and Dyna Fog bezler machines, all the smoke oils/fluids comply and often exceed the current HSE legislation for OES levels.
Snow scenes can be expensive so choosing the right material or combination of materials is important, especially because some materials are environmentally damaging and consideration in this area is essential. We use Snow Business material and equipment because it’s the best!
Rain is delivered by our individual rain or monsoon stands alternatively an overhead trussed rig to provide a range of effects from a mist or drizzle through to a monsoon exactly where you need the effect, but not over the crew!
Wind is driven through a varied selection of fully controllable electric fans, a selection of directional air movers (venturis) and the traditional SpFX trailer mounted petrol driven machines.
