At Agog we love projects to be completely overseen within the department, from the initial build to final paint and assembly on set. This allows for easy communication, reduces overheads, increases creativity and quality, improves production overview and almost always saves time ‘on the day’.
What we do… our responsibilities include the design and supervision of projects, estimate preparation, design and offering solutions around a budget, implementing cost control and providing shoot supervision and the hire of all related effects equipment. Agog’s equipment and workstations are designed for maximum flexibility, both on location and in a day-to-day workshop environment, whether being moved in a studio or knee deep in Moroccan sand!
Design… we always offer early pre-visualisation sketches sometimes models are more beneficial and are great for exploring ideas in an open discussion forum, these ideas are developed through to full technical drawings and often CAD integration to provide 3D views that can incorporate safety issues or specific instructions from the DOP or Grips and many other requirements into the design before the build.
Inputs… from departments such as stunts or construction are routinely sought before designs are finalised and during the build and testing periods prior to filming.
Help! On all projects we review and identify areas requiring specialist assistance and if needed... we work hard to enlist, engage and manage them; many have never worked in the industry and seldom grasp deadlines - but we do!
